Gut Instinct.
You don't see a lot of the black cape and top hat look any more. Too bad. Wouldn't it be so much easier if the people you're supposed to avoid in life looked this obvious? I guess it's culturally relevant to remember that the villains who looked like this in all those old silent films were bankers and mortgage holders. Did Bernie Madoff ever wear a top hat? Hmm...

I don't want to turn your jolly good comic strip too political, but I can't help but think there's some joke about Obama wearing a cape and the confusion that must have caused. Maybe people just saw the wrong color cape when they voted for him. Either way, these jokes are completely inappropriate for your strip and I'll avoid using them. ;-)
Well, that's kind of a weird comment. I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but I was only thinking about those old silent movie villains and how weird it would be if someone actually walked around dressed like that.
If you're seeing politics around here maybe it's time to switch off the ol' CNN for a while dude. It's getting into your head.
